If your patients are booking telehealth appointments with you, it would make sense to give them the option to book (and pay) online—this takes some of the manual work out of it for you!
First things first, you're going to want to make sure you have online bookings enabled. If you haven't done that yet, head over here to get started. Online bookings are included in your monthly subscription fee, so there's no additional cost for this!
Once you've done that, it's time to get your telehealth appointments listed online. This guide will walk you through each of the steps:
Enable appointment types for telehealth and online bookings
This guide gives you a longer rundown on how to do this, but the short version is that you'll need to turn on a special "telehealth setting" within the relevant appointment types. You'll also need to ensure that the appointment type will be shown in online bookings.
To do this, head into the appointment type's settings, and make sure that the box is ticked next to Show in online bookings, and Turn on telehealth for this service is turned to On:
Be sure to save the settings by hitting that Create or Update appointment type button!
That's the first step, completed!
Display telehealth appointment prices
If you aren't using online payments, this step isn't mandatory. You can still opt to display prices if you want, though! If you'd prefer to not show prices of telehealth appointments, you can skip to the next step.
There are going to be a few steps to getting your prices to show up—online—for your telehealth appointments. The first one is going to be to create billable items for your telehealth appointments. This is an in-depth guide that will walk you through the steps—the two most important things are going to be to:
Link your billable items with the relevant appointment types, and
Show prices in online bookings
To link the billable items to the appointment type, head into the appointment type's settings, and choose the applicable item(s) under Related billable items:
To ensure that the prices show up for patients booking online, head into your online bookings settings and make sure that Show prices is turned to On:
The result will be that the price of the appointment will display like this for the patient to see, prior to booking:
The final product
Once you've done all of the above, your telehealth appointments will display like this on your online bookings page—and your patients will be able to easily make a booking (and pay for the appointment, too):
