If you've recorded a refund for a patient, you'll be able to find it within the daily payments report or the payment summary report. Simply select the dates and run the report as you normally would, and any refunds will be listed as negative numbers. In this guide, we'll walk you through how to view refunds in your reports.
Refunds in the daily payments report
All refunds will be recorded as negative numbers. For example, on the below daily payments report, we can see that there are two refunds recorded, both on credit card, both for $100:
If you select either of the payment numbers, you'll be brought to a receipt page that shows you a summary:
From that page, you can navigate to the credit note, which shows you which invoice this refund was related to—you can also print the credit note off if needed, or email it to the patient.
Refunds in the payment summary report
Similar to the Daily payments report, you can view all refunds in the payment summary report. If you run it as normal, for whatever dates you need, you will be able to see a refund indicated by a negative amount:
Selecting the payment number would bring you to the actual receipt for the refund, and from there, you can view or print the credit note, as well as email it to the patient.
