In most cases, your patients probably won't be booking a ton of appointments at once. There are cases where maybe someone is booking a series of appointments for the next six months, but it's probably going to be unlikely that someone is booking lots and lots of appointments in one go.
However, there might sometimes be the occasional "appointment monopoliser"—someone that books as many free spots as they can find because they don't know when they'll be able to come in, and want to keep their options open. While this is probably nice and flexible for them, it's not nice and flexible for you! That's why we have a way for you to set a limit on how many appointments a patient can book in a day—and once they hit that limit, they'll have to wait for another 24 hours before they can book any more.
Read on for information on how to set it up.
Restrict the number of appointments a patient can book in 24 hours
Head to Settings, and then Online bookings:
You'll then be able to select the daily limit of appointments under where it says Daily limit of appointments a patient can book online:
In the above example, it's set to 3, but your options will be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, or unlimited.
Once you've selected your limit, be sure to save the settings at the bottom of the page!
Now, if a patient tries to book more than the limit, they'll see a message that looks like this:
And that's all you need to do! 👍
