Booking a telehealth appointment is easy! First things first, you'll want to make sure that your relevant appointment types are telehealth-enabled. While not required, it's also worth creating specific appointment types that are only for telehealth, as this will make it easier to keep track of what's what! For example, you might have something called "Standard consultation", but for telehealth, you could create a new appointment type called "Online (Standard consultation)". It's totally up to you, though!

Onto booking that telehealth appointment. πŸ’ͺ

Book a telehealth appointment

It's exactly the same as booking a "regular" appointment! On your calendar, you'll select the date, time, and practitioner for the appointment. You'll add it in as normal, but once it's there, you'll notice a slight difference. There's a button at the top called Join video call:

You (or the practitioner) will simply need to press that button when it's time for the appointment. When you do, you'll enter a "room" where your patient will meet you!

Starting a telehealth appointment

When you press that Join video call button, you'll enter the room. While you're waiting for your patient to arrive, you'll see something like this (assuming you're the first one there):

And when they arrive, you'll see them take up the bigger part of the screen (you'll be in the little box at the bottom):

Awesome! πŸ™Œ Your teleheath appointment has begun. Head over here to learn about what you can do during the actual call!
