If you're using the Wix platform to design your own website, you might want to have your online bookings "embedded" right into the site!
This means that, rather than leaving your site to view the bookings in a new page, patients will remain on your site. This guide will walk you through how to set things up!
Copying your online booking "embed" code
There are going to be a couple of things you want to do! First up, copy the "embed" code from Cliniko. To do this, head to Settings, and then Online bookings:
You can find the correct code to use under Code to embed in your website. It will look something like this:
Clicking the "Copy code" button will allow you to copy that unique bit of code to your clipboard.
Next, you'll want to add that code to your Wix website!
Adding the embed code to your Wix website
When using the Wix editor, click "Add" in the left-hand sidebar:
From here, choose the "Custom Embeds" option under the "Embed" section:
You'll see a number of Custom Embeds options but you'll want to make sure you select "Embed a widget" from the list:
Finally, move or adjust the Embed widget to the preferred location and size on your Wix site. You can then enter your Cliniko embed code by clicking "Enter code" and pasting your online booking code in the HTML Settings pop-up window:
Once you click update, you'll now see a preview of embedded online bookings.
Preview and publish online bookings on a Wix site
Now that the Embed code has been added, you should see a preview of online bookings:
To preview your site on desktop and mobile, you can change your view at the top by selecting the computer or mobile device icon:
Make sure to move or adjust the Embed widget to the preferred location and size for both desktop and mobile and then Publish your changes:
Final Result
Now that you've published all your changes, online bookings is now live on your Wix site 🎉!
