If another user reschedules a patient's appointment, it can be helpful to let the assigned practitioner know straight away! With rescheduling notifications, you can choose to be notified by SMS, email, or both when an upcoming appointment is moved.
If you are a practitioner and reschedule your own appointments, you will not receive an SMS or email communication. Notifications only go out if it's within the appointment window timeframe and another user reschedules the appointment.
To set-up or modify the rescheduling notifications follow the steps below.
How to set-up rescheduling notifications
If you're a practitioner, to enable notifications within your account, first, head to My info under your name:
Then select Edit your practitioner settings:
Under Calendar rescheduling notifications, you'll now select the type of notification you'd like to receive (SMS, email, or both), as well the appointment window timeframe:
You will need to add SMS credits to your account in order to send SMS notifications to practitioners. Email notifications are always free.
In the example above, we’ll notify you if the appointment is within 7 days either before or after it’s rescheduled. If it’s further away from that window, we’ll skip the notification. While choosing Anytime means you’ll be notified no matter how far away the appointment is booked and rescheduled.
Once you're ready, save your changes by selecting Update practitioner at the bottom of the page and you're all set:
Sample practitioner rescheduling notifications
Once you've enabled rescheduling notifications, an email and/or SMS communication will go out within 3-5 minutes if another user not assigned to the booking reschedule the appointment. However, if you are a practitioner and you reschedule your own appointments or it's outside the appointment window timeframe that's been set-up, you will not receive a notification.

Where is my rescheduled appointment notification?
Practitioner's notifications are designed to be helpful, not noisy. So in a few situations, you may not receive a rescheduled communication.
You won’t get a notification if:
You rescheduled your own appointment: another user has to reschedule the appointment in order for the email or SMS to be sent.
Appointment falls outside the window: notifications are only sent based on the appointment time window you’ve selected in your practitioner settings.
Rescheduled too quickly: if an appointment is moved within the first 3 minutes after being booked, no reschedule notification is sent.
The change is still being processed: communications are sent about 3-5 minutes after an appointment is moved.
Ran out of SMS credits: SMS notifications require SMS credits, you can top-up via Settings → SMS settings.
This helps make sure you’re only notified about changes that are relevant to you, at the right time.
