If a patient cancels their appointment, it can be handy to be notified of this immediately! You can choose to be notified by either SMS or email, and how far in advance you want to know about cancellations. The notifications will go out for all appointments cancelled, regardless if they were booked through online bookings or within Cliniko.
If you are practitioner and cancel your own appointment, you will not receive a notification. Notifications only go out if another user (or a patient) presses the "Cancel" button.
This feature is off by default. To turn on appointment cancellation notifications follow the steps below.
Set up appointment cancellation notifications
Click on My info under your name:
Then edit your practitioner settings:
Under Cancelled appointment notifications, select the type of notification you'd like to receive (SMS, email, or both), as well the timeframe:
In the example above, you would be emailed if an appointment was cancelled within five days of its scheduled time, but not before. You can make this longer (or shorter) if you'd like, though!
Love being notified of ALL the things? You can also be made aware of new online bookings!
