If a patient requests a copy of all their information, you're able to download a copy of it from their details page.

This function is only available to administrators.

Download all of a patient's information

Select the patient in question, and scroll down to the bottom of their details. You'll see an option to generate an export under Export patient information:

Click the Generate export link, and you'll see a message that a copy of stored information is being exported:

To access this export, head into the patient's Files, and you'll see the export (it will be a .zip file, and have a really long name):

To download the file, click the really long name. This will download a .zip file to your computer, and you can open it up. It will look different depending on what type of computer you're using, but here's an example of what that file looks like on a Mac:

With the exception of what's in the "files" folder, all data will be in HTML format. HTML is "portable" data, and if a patient requests a copy of their data for any reason, "portability" is required. This is why you'll see those HTML files!

This means that it can be opened for viewing in the patient's web browser (but only the patient can see this, as it's only "local" on their own device), and the patient can open any file on their computer and navigate through their items:

Of course, if you have any questions on how this feature works, please reach out to our support team! We'll be happy to help! 😊
