Archive a billable item

What does archiving a billable item do?

Archiving a billable item will remove the billable item from the account. The billable item will no longer be available for selection in Cliniko and will no longer be linked to your appointment types.

Only administrators, power receptionists and bookkeepers can archive billable items. Existing invoices and reports using the billable item won't be affected.

How to archive a billable item

Head to Settings, and then Billable items:

Select the billable item you wish to remove:

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and find the "Archive" option here:

A prompt will appear to confirm the action. Click "OK" to continue with removing the billable item:

That's it! The billable item will be removed from the account.


As mentioned, archiving a billable item will not affect any previous records of that billable item. It just means that you won't be able to use it in the future. In case you need it restored, reach out to the Cliniko team and we'll be more than happy to help πŸ€—!
