Exporting data from Power Diary
If you're currently using Power Diary and are moving over to Cliniko, you'll be able to migrate your patients! In this article, we'll go over how to export patients from Power Diary—the first step before importing them into Cliniko.
First, get your data from Power Diary.
Log into Power Diary. Once you're logged in, go to Tools, and then Database Export:
Select Clients, and click the Download button:
This should export the file to the downloads directory on your computer. It will be exported as a .zip file—the name will be Data Backup.zip.
Then, open the export that Power Diary gives you.
Open the .zip file and you'll want to find the one that's called Clients.csv, like this:
This is what you'll want to use for importing it into Cliniko!
👆 Note: Unfortunately, beyond this guide, Cliniko cannot help with this initial step of getting the data. Once you have it, we can help with importing it, but we won't be able to get the data from Power Diary for you. If you're having trouble getting your data, we recommend reaching out to their support team, as they'll know best! Just tell them that you need a CSV file of your patients!
