It can be really handy to be able to view a log of communication history for each patient. If you'd like to see the date, time, and subject matter of any communication (email or SMS) that's been sent to a patient directly from Cliniko, you can do so in a couple of different ways!

Here's a video overview of the process:

Through the patient's details page

Select the patient in question, and click on Communications:

You'll see a list of all communications for this patient—it'll include the type (email or SMS), the date, the practitioner (if applicable), the category, and the direction (either sent or received):

If you'd like to view any of these communications more in-depth, simply click on any one of them to obtain a fully detailed copy of the communication that was sent (or received):

Through the communications tab

Click on Communications, and then you'll see a list off all communications—and we mean all—that have ever been sent from your Cliniko account (or received back into it, such as an SMS reply!):

Use the search bar at the top to filter by patient name, phone number, or email address.

Use the "Filter by type" menu to display only certain types of communications:

Again, if you'd like to view any of these communications more in-depth, simply click on any one of them to obtain a fully detailed copy of the communication that was sent (or received).

The main difference between searching for communications via the Communications tab and the patient's details page is that when searching via the patient's details page, you won't need to filter by patient name (as that will already have been done for you). The communications that you review will be exactly the same for each patientso it's up to you for how you'd like to navigate to them!
